Prepared the intranet for a migration to a new CMS

I lead a major intranet audit that reduced the content by over 51% and increased usage by an average of 80%.

As project manager, I developed the project approach, created a requirements management plan, maintained a risk register, issues and lessons learnt log. Also identified and exploited synergies between areas of related content across the business, liaising with publishers and content owners. In particular, I:

  • Managed the project plan in accordance with TfL PMI project standards (using MS Project 2007)
  • Received Checkpoint Reports and wrote Highlight Reports and End Stage Reports
  • Maintained a Risk Register, Issues and Lessons Learnt Log
  • Worked with senior stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting mechanisms for their content management and then ensured that targets were met
  • Wrote and implemented a new governance process for content editors/publishers including the development and documentation of a process to maintain content
  • Defined and implemented clear publishing processes for content editors/publishers
  • Enforced consistent application of TfL style guidelines
  • Proactively searched, scoped, and implement improvements to the content. Reviewed regularly the formatting, usability and accessibility of existing content
  • Identified and exploited synergies between areas of related content across the business, liaising with publishers and content owners
